The two images i chose for this project were the Gratton crest and a red rose. The Gratton crest I actually did not know existed, so when I found it I knew I would use it. The red rose is our families favorite flower. My grandmothers side of the family aways grows roses that includes my mother. So the rose symbolises that side of my family.
When I used photo shop, I used the eraser tool on the edges. Followed by blurring the edges of both pictures. Then lowered the visibility on the rose, making it almost see through. So when I merged the Rose to the crest photo it gave the crest a veiled look.
how did you get the color of the rose to darken around he crest?
